Its ups, downs, and amusing moments in the eyes of someone who does it for nothing! Am I mad?? Read on! Interesting. Pity I've lost all sound on my PC so I don't know what was being said. Gives me an incentive to get it fixed.
there's a lot to be said for bringing back hanging......
Good job done on bastard scum like him. Hope matey boy gets what he deserves....
I am pleased that the swordsman was apprehended, but have some comments.
When the marked Police vehicle side-slammed the wanted vehicle, that was a use of potentially lethal force.
Without disputing the justification for such an extreme level of force to be used, I make two points:
(a) had the driver of the Police vehicle received proper training in that particular tactic?
(b) what precautions were taken to prevent collateral damage to other road users had either the Police vehicle or wanted vehicle gone out of control? There was a real possibility here of a massive motorway pile-up.
The high speed chase against the traffic flow was unorthodox and extremely dangerous.
If Traffic Officers are highly trained drivers and experienced Officers, how come the officer with the camera crew in his car, didn't see the marked Police Car before crashing into it?

I thought the standard of driving here fell well below what you would expect from trained traffic officers.
What ever happened to Tpac training. It was like a scene from a bad American cop drama..
I would have tried to ram him off the road too! Damn idiot with a samurai sword striking an Officer. I noticed that the force was TVP and if anyone can remember the incident with a guy in Hampshire with the same type of weapon a few years back attacking anything that came near him, I cannot remember how it ended shot or arrested.
Just one more reason for arming duty officers with Tazers! Gets my vote. Caerleon (SC Met)
